En medio del paisaje de La Manchuela destaca el perfil de esta localidad, fundada -según algunos- alrededor de una torre árabe que vigilaba la calzada entre Chinchilla y Requena. Y no pasaría de ser un sencillo pueblo, al que le sobra un poco de cemento, si no fuera por su imponente iglesia, a la que se ha dado en llamar "la catedral de La Manchuela". Su construcción comenzó en el siglo XVI aprovechado la torre árabe y luego ha sufrido varias reformas. En el interior destacan unos frescos del siglo XVIII.
