Arab-Moroccan cuisine
It is a restaurant specializing in Arabic dishes. It is located just behind the Liria Palace (the residence of the Duchess of Alba) very close to Conde Duque.
I would define it as a charming restaurant where you will be able to enjoy some delicious typical dishes of Arab-Moroccan cuisine. In our case we decided to take the sampling menu, since it was our first time. It has some starters (seven), a main course to choose, Arabic pastry, green tea and a drink. All this for 30€.
I definitely recommend the chicken couscous, amazing. They serve it in a clay plate with potatoes, deep fried onion and vegetables. Delicious is the least I can say. We also tried Monazzaly (meat with eggplant and tomatoes au gratin with rice and cooked in the oven), very tasty too but not at the level of the couscous.
The Spanish beer, especially cold as it should be. The green tea was one of the most surprising things, you should have one.
Last, at about 11.30 pm an Arab dance shows starts, lasting about 15-20 minutes.
If you like Arabic food like me, you shouldn't wait long to go to Aladino.
