Ai Lumi Tavernetta
This is the restaurant of Ai Lumi Bed and Breakfast, located in the Palace Berardo Ferro, Corso Vittorio Emanuele. It has a magnificent terrace where we had our breakfast every day. We were staying in the Rose Venti Apartments only a block away. The Apartments have an agreement with the Ai Lumi for its guests to have their breakfast at this establishment. The breakfasts were very correct and consisted of a buffet with pastries, homemade cakes, toast, croissants, cold cuts and coffee and juices. The restaurant looked nice and boasted its door sticker "Michelin recommended", so one day we decided to go there for dinner.
No regrets, even though the spot is considerably higher priced than others in the city (from 15-20 € per course). They serve Sicilian food. They offer everything from various types of salads, "antipasti", pasta dishes, meat and their speciality, fish. We decided to have a typical dinner of Trapani: cous cous seafood and for desert the cake "cassata" Sicilian. The cous cous was delicious. The waiter was charming, trying to "patter" in Spanish to explain the menu and the wines they had. We even held our luggage on the last day until we made the time to go to the airport, as we had to leave the apartment at 10 in the morning. A super site recommended. It was worth paying a little more.
