Former home of John Q Adams
Adam's Park in Wheaton, IL is the former location of former president John Quincy Adam's home. After his term, President Adams purchased the property with a large house, and gardern. Today, the city of wheaton has preserved as much of the park as they could and turned it into a beautiful park near the downtown area. It is the perfect place to stop and have a picnic, or take a walk. There are several park benches where one can stop and take a rest, or read a book under the tree canopy.
The park has a series of sidewalks that make it accessible and easy to walk. In the middle of the garden, there is a fountain that is part of the original property. A plaque explains more of the history of the area and shows what the property looked like with the house still in tact.
