Very picturesque landscape
Aberfoyle is a village near Loch Lomond that belongs to the district of Stirling, in the south-west Highlands. Almost at the heart of the park of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The village is situated between the mountains and the famous river Forth, which provides a very picturesque landscape. With the onset of spring, numerous festivals are held there. Personally, I think it's a good place of passage, for a drink or to relax. But the best bit is that in the vicinity you have the river and Lake Chon. Full of shops, it has 2 different appearances, in the summer it's full of tourists, buses, shops are open and it's very crowded.
Whereas in the winter, it's practically deserted, Everything operates under limited hours. Keep in mind that last winter for example access to the village was cut off for more than three weeks because of the snow. Aberfoyle, a charming place, but limited.
