A Pobra do Caramiñal
Before this trip I had never heard of this beautiful seaside town on the coast of La Coruña known as Costa da Morte. However, it is one of those places which it is worth stopping at to enjoy a good walk and the tranquility of a beach town. It still has a very local and authentic atmosphere, despite the increasing tourism, and continues to maintain its normal rhythm of life (hopefully it will stay that way). Besides visiting the village, its beautiful medieval churches (such as Dean Santiago) and the museum of Valle Inclan, I recommend the tapas on its main promenade. Also, if you plan to spend a weekend there, you should visit the two viewpoints - Curotiña (386 m) and Curota (498 m), which, though not the highest in the Sierra, offer better views of the Ria de Arosa.
