Rey Alfonso Restaurant
A lot has changed in this restaurant over the years, in particular, the kitchen and the décor. (I remember it from all of the visits I made to Nerja so many years ago) but what has not changed and is still spectacular is the wonderful view that has the Mediterranean and the beaches of Nerja, in the Axarquia, Malaga. The restaurant is located on the grounds of an ancient Arab fortress lookout, which served to spot and control pirate ships approaching the coast, just below the so-called "Balcony of Europe" ... And why the name of King Alfonso? .. According to the story, after the earthquake in Nerja and surrounding areas in 1884, King Alfonso XII decided to go in person to check the damage that had causado.Cuando reached the point where Today the restaurant is located on the cliffs and look out and see the great sights said the phrase "That is, the Balcon de Europa." and has since been named, and the restaurant is named after the King in his honor.
