Visiting the Jose de Alencar theatre is undoubtedly the best way to immerse yourself in the culture of the city. Opened in 1910, this theatre has become a real artistic landmark, a tourist centre and one of the main symbols of Fortaleza. Every month, they have a programme of concerts and shows. Tours take place every hour, from Tuesday to Friday: 08:00, 09 : 00, 10:00, 11: 00, 13:00, 14, 15 and 16. On Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 13, 14, 15 and 16. The visits include the 1910 building, and the gardens of Burle Marx Art Centre. Cost: R $ 2.00 (students) or R $ 4.00.
