Iglesia de Saint Martín de Évisa

La antigua iglesia está en la entrada este del pueblo, justo al lado del cementerio. Ésta, la de Saint Martin es la "iglesia nueva". Fue construida a principios del siglo XVI ( 1702-....?), y ha sido reconstruida o reformada varias veces. Lo primero que ves cuando llegas a Évisa es el campanario de esta iglesia, construido en 1856, pero al que curiosamente le añadieron las campanas 33 años después..!! Lo más curioso de la iglesia es lo escondida e incrustada que está dentro del pueblo. Parece lógico pensar que las casas colindantes se construyeron a posteriori y que no había muchos más espacios, pues en algún de las esquinas de la iglesia NO había más de 2 metros de separación con la siguiente casa. Un paseo por el rededor de la iglesia es totalmente recomendable, las callejuelas son preciosas...

The old church is at the eastern entrance of the town, right next to the cemetery. sta, the Saint Martin is the "new church".
