Madrid Palace Guided Tour

The Royal Palace of Madrid is the official home of the Spanish royal family and, with over 3,500 rooms, one of Europe's largest royal palaces. It beautiful rooms feature priceless works of art by Caravaggio, Goya and Velázquez as well as ornate period furniture and fine Italian tapestries.

After meeting your guide in the Plaza del Oriente, you'll receive your ticket and be given priority access to the interior of the palace. Remember that the Royal Palace is one of Madrid's most visited attractions and the high-season queues can often stretch into the hundreds of people.

During the tour, you'll visit the most important rooms of the palace such as the Royal Chapel, the banquet hall, the throne room and the former living quarters of the Spanish royal family. During the visit, you'll learn the rich history of the Spanish monarchy and your guide will explain the use of each room and give you information about the valuable artworks they contain.

Additionally, you'll also visit the Royal Parade Grounds and learn about the important state functions which are conducted there.
