Full-Day Ávila and Segovia Tour from Madrid

At 9:00 in the morning, you’ll board a comfortable, air-conditioned bus to begin this full day tour of Ávila and Segovia.

In approximately two hours, you’ll arrive in the fortified city of Ávila. Ávila’s medieval walls are among the best-preserved city walls in all of Europe and feature nearly 100 defensive towers. Venturing inside the walls, you’ll enjoy a walking tour of the Ávila’s medieval quarter and visit key sights like the Ávila Cathedral, the Basilica of San Vicente, the Convent of St. Teresa and the Plaza Mayor.

After exploring the best of Ávila, you’ll board the bus and begin the journey to Segovia. Once you arrive, you’ll have an hour-long break for lunch. You can choose to include a traditional Segovian lunch with your tour (see details below) or opt to have lunch at your expense at the restaurant of your choice.

After lunch, you’ll enjoy a guided tour of Segovia. You’ll visit the 2,000-year old Roman Aqueduct, the Segovia Cathedral and the Alcázar, a striking hilltop castle whose towers and turrets served as inspiration for Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle.

Once the tour of Segovia is complete, you’ll return to Madrid and be dropped off in the city center at approximately 18:00.

Optional Lunch

For a complete experience, you can choose to include a traditional lunch with your full-day tour. The lunch options available for this tour are:

• Standard menu: traditional slow-cooked bean soup followed by a Segovia-style veal stew and dessert. Drinks not included.
• Gourmet menu: traditional slow-cooked bean soup followed by Segovia’s famous roast suckling pig and dessert. Wine, water and coffee are included.

If you do not select a lunch option, you will be given free time to have to have lunch at your expense at the restaurant of your choice.
