History of the famous FDNY

The Fire Museum in NYC is located in the former barracks of Soho. This museum retraces the history of the famous FDNY firefighters and everything is available for viewing-- the old tanks, the new trucks, uniforms and helmets, etc. You can also attempt to descend down the pole but the museum's main purpose is to understand the issues the firemen face and their importance. At the end, there's a memorial to the firefighters that died helping at the World Trade Center.
