We had just arrived in Manhattan and the first place where we ate was the Brooklyn Bagel and Coffee Company. We were excited to try our first New York bagel and found this branch on 8th Avenue. As we approached the counter, it seemed that we had arrived at bagel heaven! First you choose the bagel and then the toppings, I chose the garlic bagel with cream cheese and chives and it was so much that I couldn't finish it all. At $2.40 each, these bagels are also one of the most affordable ways to eat in New York.
